Intro about Green Apple Festival

America’s Largest Earth Day Celebration” – Environmental Music Fests Attended by Celebs, Public Figures, Athletes & Activists Over The Weekend; 200,000 Attend.

(New York, NY – April 22, 2008) — Earth Day Network and Green Apple Festival organizers estimate approximately 200,000 attended the all-inclusive, interactive and free festivals in public parks over the weekend. Organizers were so pleased with the turn-out that Peter Shapiro, Green Apple founder and Executive Producer, has set his sights on April 19th, 2009 as the date for next year’s national celebration of Earth Day.
